"The Office Quote of the Week"
"Ever since I was a kid, people have been telling me that I can't do things. You can't be on the team, you can't move on to second grade. Well, now they're telling me that I can't win back clients using old-fashioned business methods. We'll see about that. And FYI, I eventually aced second grade, and I was the biggest kid in class." -Michael Scott

I am soooo behind on my blog reading it is notevenfunny. We're talking over 300 unread blogs behind. Replying to comments from 2 weeks ago behind. I am trying to get caught up, but man...work has got me working way too much right now! I might have to hire someone to read them all out load to me since I've sworn off driving and blog reading. I mean, sure, it's the safe decision, but it really cuts down on my productivity. (I must always be multi-tasking.) Speaking of being behind...Holly, I missed the deadline for signing up for your blog! If you're reading this, will you please email me at sjg_ou@yahoo.com? I'd love to still be able to keep up with you.

Well it is officially football season friends!!! I am a proud OU Alum and die hard OU Football fan! And because I'm Super Fan, I will tell you to watch this video. The promo videos that the media department put out seriously give me goosebumps. This one is from 2003, which was my last year there, and it's one of my faves. I'm nearly teary-eyed when Bobby talks at the end. Sooner Magic, baby!

I recently found Flashback Friday at Web Savy Mom & thought it'd be fun to link up!
When I was in school at OU, I was part of a group called Crimson & Cream. We basically assisted with recruiting and hosted potential student athletes when they'd come to game day. It was SO much fun & I met so many neat people (& families of the athletes) through doing it - such a great experience! Here is an oooold picture of me & some of the other girls on the field right before the OU/Texas Tech game in 2002.

I am really behind in blog commenting too. Argh! There is not enough hours in the day.
ReplyDeleteLove the flashback photo!
A cardboard cutout of the terminator!? LOL! So funny.
Happy FF!
Great post! I love Arnold Cutout story....A small town near my hometown was featured in a similar segment on David Letterman several months ago and I about died! Only in Arkansas :) Have a great holiday weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the little newspaper weekly! Go Arnold! Ha!
ReplyDeleteHooray for Football!! My favorite sport!!
ReplyDeleteAnd I LOVE the "Are You Serious?" ad....I'm still giggling!

You ALWAYS have something super funny and for that I love you!!
ReplyDeleteCan't wait for college football! I'm an Auburn fan, but that's okay. :o)
Well, I'd be creeped out by a cardboard cutout of Arnold too.
ReplyDeleteThe Are you serious excerpt is awesome! But really, Arnold creeps me out even if he was only cardboard! That person who observed and reported him should be the poster child for neighborhood watch!
ReplyDeleteGreat Fragments!
Hey! I so look forward to your Office quotes! Here is Holly's blog address...she changed it!
ReplyDeleteconfessionsofawaitingmommy@blogspot.com
Hope your weekend is great!
Thanks for the comment! I am also SUPER excited about tomorrow night!! I'm glad we're getting to start the season of with a win :)
ReplyDeleteLove The Office quote. Someone today told me they don't think I have the skill set to do something at work. Little do they know that telling me I am not capable of something motivates me. (Or maybe that was the point...hmm...) I want to be just like Michael Scott! : )
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh that newspaper clipping is great!!
ReplyDeleteI would have been one of those nervous parents :)
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Amy
Sorry bout the loss tonight! Maybe your hubs is living it up with the Tech win!
ReplyDeleteI've got a few hundred blog posts that I'm behind on as well. The comments on my blog have gone down, too - so I figure it will all even out at some point. I miss a few blogs and I get a few less comments.
ReplyDeleteI waved at a cardboard cutout once. I was in near hysterical laughter when I realized what I had done.
Oh,man--That's FUNNY!
ReplyDeleteI watched the video. No goosebumps (sorry-I'm a Badger fan), but I appreciated it very much :)
Ah, the blog-reading...tough, isn't it? Well, here's an invitation to just delete mine without guilt :) Another great idea I just got from someone is to take the time to sort the blogs into folders in your reader. I now have four folders, two of which are called MUST READ ASAP and Time-Out (might let those go, but don't have the heart to do it yet.) The in-betweens are Good Friends and Second String (those I like a LOT but know they will wait patiently for me, without feeling hurt.) Once I sorted them all, I felt much better. Nobody got dumped, but I have them all prioritized. I highly recommend this!
Oh, and P.S. Less than THREE weeks to you "due date?" Hurray!!
ReplyDeleteOh WOW, this is so clever - you have the most gorgeous site here and I had to stop by to leave this comment for you – and to say hello of course ! Your posts are creative and original and you have interesting pictures. It's all perfect ! Thank you for sharing your site and best wishes....
ReplyDeleteSuper cute pic. And football frenzy is in full effect here too. My Hub went to UGA.
ReplyDeleteHope you had a great weekend.
Don't stress yourself out over the blog reading. Mark everything as read and give yourself a clean slate! :)
ReplyDeleteTotally laughing at the "arnold" cut out!
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by!
