Fragmented Friday Freewrite

The Office Quote of the Week
"It's like I used to tell my wife - I do not apologize unless I think I'm wrong, and if you don't like it, you can leave. And I say the same thing to my current wife, and I'll say it to my next one, too." - Stanley

Sooooo Office fans, what'd you think? Pleasantly surprised? Or bitterly disappointed? I thought it was pretty good! The opener was hysterical...I think I watched Andy falling through that box like 10 times. And two of my favorite quotes from last night (loosely translated...I should've written them down)...the one where Dwight says, "People trust me. It's because I have low cheek bones." and Michael saying that the only way to fix a rumor is to make up more rumors...he makes me cringe!! Oh, and was anyone else as surprised as I was when it turned out Stanley really was having an affair? I thought he was pranking Michael with the interns...trying to get him back for being nosy or something. But I was shocked when it was true...maybe I was just a little late to the game?

So I've decided to do a giveaway every day next week in honor of my blogoversary. Yes, technically I'm a week late for my blogoversary, but I'm late to everything in real life, so I thought I should continue the trend on my blog. About the small pony...unfortunately I couldn't get the details worked out (shipping would've been a beast - literally), so I won't be giving one away, but I do have some wonderful things coming your way...check back on Monday for all the deets!

Check out what I got in the mail yesterday....the adorable notecards I won from Kim at The TomKat Studio! They are SO beautiful...I cannot wait to use them (for a special occasion, of course.) She also threw in a set of her "party circles", also known as cupcake toppers, but they really can be used for more than that, so she's calling them party circles now. Check out all of her awesome products in her etsy shop! Thanks again, Kim...I love them!! :)

I knew there was an excuse for why I haven't had my cholesterol checked. Now I have a valid reason - there's no way I could meet these requirements.

  9. I was just so glad it was back on! I had missed them for sure! My favorite quote was from Andy.

  12. I don't watch the Office...it's not that I don't want to but I just can't squeeze it into my week. Plus I have this thing about watching series from the VERY beginning and then catching up to current seasons. Looks like I'll need to rent the Office sooner rather than later.

LOVED the newspaper clipping. I don't know why I find typos so HILARIOUS!

  13. I really need to start watching this Office show, I feel like I'm missing out!

  14. That was SO FUNNY when Dwight said that ! I was cracking up!!! And the Stanley thing was hilarious! When Michael picked up the phone and said "Cynthia?" I about died!!! OOOOhhhh he is so awkward!

  15. The Office was great! I love that show. It's the only part of the must see line-up that must be seen.

So cholesterol screenings on corpses? That's the only way anyone could meet that requirement.

  16. It's nice to know that someone besides me is late to everything.

  17. i want to win your giveaway! That stuff you won was so cute! I need to start entering more giveaways!

  18. I was laughing so hard....Dwight just kills me. And I was as shocked as you or so it sounds about Stanley...I figured they had seen the wrong guy....

    Happy Blogaversary....and wow....a giveaway a day....Can't wait!

  19. How do we enter for your giveaways?:) And can those notecards be ordered? I looked on her site but didn't see any..

  20. I was sure that Stanley was playing a prank on Michael, too. I'm just glad that Pam is really pregnant, and not something dumb like she has athlete's foot or something!

For some reason, I am always disappointed with the first couple of episodes of The Office each season. I don't know, it's like the writers need to warm up or something, and they don't start to hit their stride until midway through.

My real office is exactly like The Office, by the way. We have the same cheesy motivational meetings, the same office pranks, and the same cubicle romances. I think that's why I love the show so much, it's just like my real life!

  21. I don't watch The Office. I have tried a few times, but it's a little too slow for me. I sit there thinking, "Come on, move along, what's next." lol

    Giveaways!? How fun!

Nothing to eat or drink for 10 years before the test? WOW! So, they want to test on dead bodies? lol

    ReplyDelete
  22. I'm one of the few that doesn't watch The Office, only because I forget that it's on since I have other shows that take priority over the shows on NBC... ;) I might have to do some catch up on Hulu though! :)

Look at you being so generous doing a giveaway a day since you can't do the pony giveaway...(grin!!)

Hmmmm...maybe that's why my recent blood test showed my cholesterol being 'slightly elevated' - because I didn't do the required fasting mode for 10 years first. It makes sense now! :)

Happy FF a day late! :)

    ReplyDelete
  23. Awesome quote....I saw your post on Thursday night and it was then that I realized that I missed it. I was so mad. I don't watch much network TV. I had to watch last season courtesy of Netflix, so that's probably what is going to happen this season!

I'm upset about the pony. That's all I'll say on the matter.

    ReplyDelete
  24. 10 years, hahaha! I think I should show that to my doctor next time they decide to drain all of my blood for tests- "Sorry, I haven't been fasting long enough!"

    ReplyDelete
  25. I also love the Office! But I am so pathetic when it comes to my infertility...I was mad when they announced that Pam's character is preggo, and when they showed the ultrasound pic, I actually got teary. I soooo need to get a grip. It's not even a real baby!!! :)

    ReplyDelete
  26. Oh, that is funny! ten years of nothing but black coffee would be tough, wouldn't it?!

Her cards are beautiful. Congrats on your blogiversary :)

    ReplyDelete
  27. I see from our timelines that we started officially waiting the SAME DAY as you guys!!!

    ReplyDelete
  28. Stanley is too funny, huh!?!

Can't wait to check out your giveaways!! :o)

  29. Oh my gosh! I just realized as I read your post that I forgot the Office season opener! NO!!!
