I have a new...

NEPHEW!! :) My sister went into labor on May 4 (her birthday!) and at 10:52 p.m., she gave birth to her 9 lb, 11 oz adorable baby boy Zeke (full name Ezekiel Wayne). What a blessing Zeke is to our family! I haven't shared this before, but nearly a year ago (actually a day after Manny was born) my sister suffered a very serious miscarriage that nearly took her life her and ability to have more children. It is by the grace of God that she is not only here with us, but just gave birth to a healthy baby boy! We are SO thankful for God's goodness through this situation. Maybe sometime I will share more of her story, but for now let's look at this cuteness we call Zeke!

I had planned to head to Dallas on Wednesday morning anyway, and the timing couldn't have been better. By the time I got to her house, they were ready to head to the hospital. So I took over with her 2 daughters, and they left for the hospital. We decided to go to the mall to pass the time. When Olivia was being born, I took Ellie to this same mall to ride the carousel and go to Build-a-Bear, so I thought we'd continue the tradition this time too. Here are Ellie and Olivia riding the carousel...they had a great time!

By the time he was born it was too late for the girls to go see him, so we took them up there the next morning. Here they are before leaving for the hospital. They were so excited!

And here is Manny checking out the competition. :) I am SO excited for him to have a little boy cousin! When they got home from the hospital, I took a few pictures of the little cutie. I have so much to learn, but it was a lot of fun taking some pictures of him!

We got home late last night, and I have my 2 nieces with me this week so my sister can get settled with Zeke. Manny is just loving having his cousins here to play with and we are staying very busy! I can't believe his party is in less then 2 weeks. I'd like to say preparations are coming along nicely, but that's not exactly the case. Hoping to get a lot accomplished this week though. Happy Monday! :)
