She totally has Patrick wrapped around her finger already. It's so sweet!
We have been blessed to have lots of family and friends come visit us! I was so fortunate to have my mom here from the time we checked in to the hospital. My sister Rachael came up from Dallas on Saturday, as well as my dad. Ellie brought Maeva a baby doll and she was so cute giving it to her. :)
On Sunday, my two older sisters Jenny and Becky, and their kids Gabi, Zack, and Hayden, came to visit. They brought Maeva the cutest sweet pea doll in a little pea pod. I kind of think they look alike! :)
And last night, my best friend Candice came to visit, as well as my friend Megan. It was so great having so many visitors and made the hospital stay very entertaining. :) I had to include those bottom 2 pictures in that last collage to show just how much Manny wanted to be around me...except not. Ha! He brought me some flowers for Mother's Day and my mom was trying to help him give them to me, but he wasn't on board with that plan...little stinker. We also attempted a family picture, which was a joke. Pretty sure I better get used to that. :)

its totally normal for the older sibling to ignore mama in the hospital, my son did the same thing. Part of it is they don't like seeing mama hooked up to the iv, etc and they're not used to us lying down instead of playing with them! He'll get over it quickly....enjoy this sweet, sweet time :-)
ReplyDeleteAww... she is the sweetest thing! You look gorgeous! Manny just needs time. Those hospital room and all the people are a lot more interesting than you right now. My friends son did the exact same thing - and then she came home and he wouldn't leave her side. So glad everyone is healthy and happy!!

ReplyDeleteAww, so cute (her) but bummer about Manny. It's good preparation for me though since I'll be dealing with this same thing in a few weeks! :) I'm sure it's just a phase and as soon as you go home, he'll be aching for your attention!!!

ReplyDeleteYay, congrats, she's beautiful. Zane avoided me in the hospital too, I think he was scared of me to be honest, IV in arm, in a hospital bed and I don't think I looked the same to him in that atmosphere. All changed when we got home! Good luck!

She is so precious Sarah! I know y'all are thrilled to have her here :) And don't worry about Manny, Bryson acted the same way when we were at the hospital, but once we got home it got so much better. He has become such a big helper and LOVES being a big brother.
