The One in Which I Try to Be Trendy

So. I am in desperate need of new glasses. And I ALWAYS have buyer's remorse when I get new glasses. Always. Why I never take anyone with me for an opinion...I don't know. When I get home, I feel like they look so different than they did in the store, and I hate what I chose, so never really wear them.

My best friend has always been so fashion forward. Like, wears a trend before it's a trend, and I think hmmm...I don't know about that, but it still looks good on her. Then a year later, I find myself buying/wanting the same things I was questioning. The thing is...she can always pull off different stuff. I, on the other hand...well, I mostly look like a huge dork.

Several months ago she got some blue glasses, and of course they looked amazing on her. When I saw them, I thought to myself that maybe one day I'd be cool enough to pull them off. And it looks like that day has come. Maybe.
The brand of glasses she was wearing is Warby Parker. It's a really unique and affordable line of glasses that have become quite the thing. The frames are only $95, including prescription lenses. On top of that, for every pair purchased, a pair is distributed to someone in need. So it seems like a pretty cool company. When I told Candice (my BFF) that I was ready to take the plunge, she told me about their at home try-on program. You pick 5 pairs of glasses, and they ship them to you (for free!) so you can try them out before deciding. They also cover return shipping. Mine arrived via 2 day UPS, so it was a very quick process. And now that they're here, I need your help!
I'm not gonna lie...when I first tried these on, I could not stop laughing. Nor could Patrick. And I'm pretty sure in picture D, I'm wearing the same frames that LeBron James has. I tweeted that these had come in, and everyone wanted to see pictures...but I was too chicken. I did note that it's confirmed...I'm not cool enough to wear nerdy glasses and look cool. Instead I might just look like I dug up my glasses from 4th grade. But here I am a day later, plastering my mug on the internets. I blame it on the sleep deprivation.

So weigh in, please. Are they all laughable? Or any possibilities? I'd love to hear your thoughts! In the meantime, I'll be covering my face with a throw pillow while dying of embarrassment.

  3. I like E too. They seem on trend but not too overbearing on your face. Good luck deciding!

  4. I like E also!! You go girl!! I'm always way behind the trends I always feel like I can't pull things off like my friends.

  5. I think E looks the best. A isn't bad. B is a fun, funky look but that may only work with the right outfit.

    Good luck!

  6. love E and B !! buy 'em both so you can switch out!! :)

  7. E is the most flattering for you! Although you are beautiful no matter what! I'm not feeling those colored glasses. I need new ones and last time I ended up with Juicy Couture only because I liked the way they fit. That price tag was not pretty!

  8. E is my favorite, but A is a close second!

I'm the same way with my glasses, I always have buyers remorse! I might have to try Warby Paker! But my eyes are so bad you can't account for the fact that when they put my lenses in they are going to magnify my eyes 100x. Oh well that's why they made contacts :)

  9. I agree with everyone else - E!

  10. I like E! And I am so ooooo oooo going to do this too because I never committed to a new pair of glasses I desperately needed!

  11. I like E and then A. They are fun but I'm not near that cool either! HA

  12. You can totally do it! I like E the best. I think they're smaller and they fit your face a little better. You could almost get away with a smaller, rectangular pair!

  13. You crack me up! My favorite is also "E".

  14. Love this 'Warby Parker' thing - how did I never know about this? As a fellow glasses wearer (when the contacts just won't do), I totally know how you feel about buyer's remorse. I always wish I had picked something different. And I loved the 'nerdy' glass trend. Too cute. My vote looks like aligns with the majority here - go with'E'! They're bigger, as per the trend, but not too big for your face!

  15. I'll be honest, and I hope that's what you want... I don't love any of them. Maybe I'm not trendy at all or this is just too trendy for me but if I were you I would choose something else. I hope I helped and you're not offended. :)

  16. E then A, definitely not the B! Maybe if they were the smaller frames that were popular a few years ago but I don't really like the big glasses that much myself and I wear them!

  17. E is my favorite, and A is a close second. Good luck deciding!

  18. I really like E and A is a close second. I thnk the others are too big for the shape of your face.

  19. E looks like it fits you the best!!! The rest just look way to big for your face! :)

  20. I agree with the rest! E or A!

  21. You are so funny! I think A and E are the cutest - and they look trendy to me! :)

  22. A is my favorite. You're cute :)

  23. Don't love any of them - but I'd say A is the best out of them all :) Just being honest!!!

  24. Lol. I just ordered my warby parkers yesterday. seriously. I guess great stay-at-home mom's think alike ;)

I like e the best, followed by a.

  25. Definitely E.....You can see your beautiful eyes the best with those. All the others overwhelm and hide your eyes!
    Adorable cutie pie!

  26. I think E looks the best they fit your face good and you look trendy and cute in them!!

  27. I like A and E the most! I think you totally pull off the look (but I know how you feel because I never feel like I can pull of that look either)!

  28. Love E...you look cute in glasses!

  29. LOVE my pair of Warby's. My only complaint is that they tend to smudge easier than most glasses.
I think E is the best option for you but there are so many other choices. Send those back and they'll send you another box to try on!

  30. I know exactly how you feel! I rarely wear my glasses outside of the house anyway but I always feel like I look ridiculous. E are the only ones I like. I think they look good on you. I'm just not a big fan of the particular shape these all are.

  31. Before I logged on I had already picked "E" and it looks like everyone else agrees! Nice frames! And thanks for the entertainment! You are hilarious!

  32. I like A & E. I think that I like them because they are thinner and smaller on your face. Even a colored frame like blue would be cute, but with a smaller, more rectangular frame. IMO that style, smaller (not super small), and more rectangle is CLASSIC and NEVER goes out of style. And you can punch it up with color. And I think that a darker blue would be better.

  33. Haha! I am cracking up, cuz I didn't read everyone elses comments before I commented. Ok, now that we all agree, carry on. ;) LOL!
