Cetaphil: A Time-Tested Favorite

There are some things in life that you find, you use, and you love. And for one reason or another, you stop using them for a while. And when you're reintroduced? You're excited to fall in love with the greatness all over again. Such is the case for me and Cetaphil products.

Let me back up for a minute here. I remember really odd things, and typically by association. For instance, I remember that in this particular picture, my cheer squad had just traveled to California to perform in the Hollywood Christmas Parade. While on the way there, the flight attendant had told me I had really pretty skin and asked what kind of products I used. I told her I used Cetaphil products, and embarrassingly admitted that I wasn't sure if it was pronounced "See-ta-phil" or "Set-a-phil"...but that's what I used. See? I told you...I remember odd things.

That being said, this was a time in my life when Cetaphil products were a big part of my daily routine. I was first introduced to them when my BFF told me that her dermatologist told her that she should try Cetaphil products. And upon learning that Cetaphil products were recommended by more dermatologists than any other brand, we both knew it was time to give it a try. If that many people are recommending it, it's gotta be a good thing, right? And it was.

Now here we are just a few years later, and when given the opportunity to review Cetaphil products, I knew I needed to give them a try. Yes, I used them years ago and loved them, but since it'd been a while, I was curious to see if it still worked as well as it did back when I was a cute young thing. The products I tried this time were Cetaphil Gentle Skin Cleanser and Cetaphil Moisturizing Cream. Sure enough, they did not disappoint. I love how fresh and clean my skin feels after washing and moisturizing. I like to have something I know is going to work. And let's be honest-- while I want to have a great skin care routine, I know the reality is I'm too busy for anything extravagant. But using these two simple things ensures I'm doing something good for my skin, which is extremely important with each day that goes by. I like the fact that they are fragrance-free and really just leave you with that basic clean feeling. The moisturizer is also great for dry spots like elbows and feet, which always give me trouble during the winter.
What's your winter skin care strategy? Leave a comment letting me know for your chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

Cetaphil brand will also be offering a printable coupon to save $3 on any two Cetaphil products.

  1. I love cetaphil too and I have used it ever since I started washing my face in my teens! My 10 year old uses it too. My winter skin strategy is that I will continue to use cetaphil morning and night and then apply moisturizer! Thanks.

  2. I got my husband to try Cetaphil years ago for his super sensitive skin. Its the only brand that doesn't turn him red and itch him after use. We love Cetaphil and I'm so glad someone else isn't quite sure about how to pronounce it! :)

  3. Our pediatrician told us to use Cetaphil when our son was a newborn. He had really bad baby acne and it definitely helped clear it up. We kept using it on him whenever his skin was dry or he had a little rash.

I don't have a skin care regimen, although I know I should...I nervous to try things in case they cause me to break out. I definitely need to try Cetaphil!

  10. I wish I had a skin care strategy. I am the world's worst at taking care of my skin. I am SO lazy when it comes to this. I do have and like cetaphil- but only use it in the shower. I keep thinking that one day I will grow up and get into a good skin care routine... but so far, hasn't happened. ;)

  16. I use my clarsonic twice daily, in the am when I shower and the pm to remove make up. I use cetaphil because that is what my derm recommended. For my "day" moisturizer, I use the equate off brand of olay and LOVE it. At night, I switch between clinique super surge and the cetaphil intense moisturizer. I have combo skin (dry in spots and oily in others) and I have found this combo works great!
